Northern British Columbia Grizzly With Salmon
In the 30 years or so that I have been hiking and getting out in nature, I have had many, many bear sightings, both black bear and grizzly. But through all those years of sightings, I had never been able to see a bear feeding on salmon. That changed last month, in northern British Columbia. Across multiple days, I was able to photograph several different grizzlies fattening themselves up for hibernation on the first runs of spawning salmon. What a truly magical experience!
